Event Information

Description
Hoofers,

Did you know there are more than 30 miles of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail within Dane County?

Last week, a handful of current and former Hoofers helped build more Trail west of Madison off Highway 12. The new 1.5-mile loop is just shy of finished, and volunteers with the Dane County Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance are hosting a workday this Saturday (November 1) to finish things up. Who wants to help?

Meet at 11:00 a.m. at the Park Street circle. We’ll be working until 4:00ish and will head back to Madison for bood (beverages and food) if there is interest. We currently have two cars; please let me know if you’re available to drive another vehicle.

For this Hoofer Outing Club trip, no ratings are necessary (neither is trail building experience!). You will need to wear sturdy footwear (hiking boots). Dress to get dirty and in layers. Bring work gloves if you have them, lunch/snacks and two water bottles.

Let me know if you have any questions.
