Description
Hey dirtbags,

I'm going to the Reel Rock Film Festival at Union South on Wednesday. You should too. It's free, need I say more? I could be persuaded to do food things at some point as well. Plan to meet outside the Marquee Theater early to get seats. Details below:

Just wanted to let you know that Reel Rock 9, Valley Uprising, is showing at the Union South Marquee at 7pm for FREE this Wednesday, October 22!

Reel Rock is an amazing film festival that shows tons of awesome rock climbing footage (as well as beautiful scenic footage) and tells some really cool stories that will get you excited about doing cool stuff outside. Hoofer Mountaineering and WUD Film co-sponsor the film every year so that you can get a free showing. Here’s the description of this year’s Reel Rock:

In the shady campgrounds of Yosemite valley, climbers carved out a counterculture lifestyle of dumpster-diving and wild parties that clashed with the conservative values of the National Park Service. And up on the walls, generation after generation has pushed the limits of climbing, vying amongst each other for supremacy on Yosemite's cliffs. "Valley Uprising" is the riveting, unforgettable tale of this bold rock climbing tradition in Yosemite National Park: half a century of struggle against the laws of gravity -- and the laws of the land.

It’s going to be a great time, definitely something you don’t want to miss. Tons of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the greater Madison area will be there! Capacity usually fills up, so come early for a good seat!
