Event Information

Description
Note the tinme change to 8 pm.......

The Ice Age Trail is an 1100-mile national scenic trail being built within the state of Wisconsin and is part of the National Park Service. Hoofer Outing Club members have been helping build trail for the past 9 years.

We'll have an interest group meeting Tuesday night, Oct 14. What is an interest group meeting? They are meetings held for each activity area of the club once or twice a year to explain the basics of the activity area, discuss the group's budget, promote upcoming activities, and elect a chair for the activity group.

For the Ice Age Trail group, I will present background on the trail and why you should come and help build it, ways you can participate, and club participation in the last big construction event of 2014 later this month. I'll answer questions about the trail in general, and what you might need to go on a trailbuilding trip. Hopefully we'll get some new people signed up to build trail here in Dane County October 23-25.

The meeting is open to any interested club member. We'll meet in the Mendota Lounge (the room we meet in for the general club meeting) at the conclusion of the regular meeting.  There is no sign up, just show up if you are interested.

If any club member who has helped build trail in the past wants to help me with the interest group meeting, shoot me an e-mail.
