- Description
- The weather on Sat will be so awesomely nice for canoeing (low winds!) that I can't resist going on the great Lake Mendota and exploring the shoreline. Since we have water safety approval, we are able to go past the yellow line and explore the scenic and wooded western shore of Mendota, Bring lunch, water, and sunscreen. Canoe lake rating required. Sea kayakers who have an SK0 and don;t mind paddling in circles around the slower canoes are welcome to join in. This is a great chance to refine your paddle stroke and start building some endurance, but I still plan this to be an easy trip.
