Day
trip see all the Madison lakes . This is about a 12 to 15 mile trip .
Paddle about 4 to 5 hours. We will stop several times along the way.
Route will be: Starting at the
memorial union across lake Mendota to the Yahara river to lake Monona to
the Yahara river to Mud lake to lake Waubesa to the Yahara river to
upper Mud lake to the Yahara river to lake Kegonsa.
We will run a shuttle for the return trip via car. A sk0 rating is all
that is needed, but you will need the endurance for the long trip. Trip
will be limited by how many vehicles we end up with. Let me know if you can drive/carry boats or if you have a 1 1/4 trailer hitch and can pull a trailer. I'll open up more spots if I get drivers.
You will got great views of Madison downtown from the water, mixed with canals, and some open wilderness spaces.
To Bring:
paddle clothes, paddle shoes, 2 L water, sunscreen/hat/sunglasses, drybag with lunch/snacks.
