Free public tours will be given at Maribel New Hope Cave at Cherney Maribel Caves County Park (http://www.maribelcaves.com/) by experienced tour guides. We will also get to see other caves at the area at our own pace. Whether you are new in caving or a previous caver, this will be fun. Let me know if you can take your car -if there are two cars available I will open up more spots for sign up.
What to bring (NEW CAVERS):
clothes that you don't mind getting dirty
clothes to change into before we drive back
a flashlight
kneepads (if you have)
water/food
cash for gas
What to bring (CURRENT CAVERS):
Due to the spread of White Nose Syndrome, equipment that has been used in caves outside WI can NOT be used in this trip.
All of the above provided they have been ONLY used in WI caves.
We will meet at Hoofers at 8.15 and depart at 8.30am.
We need at least one driver with a car for this trip or just a car! It is going to be a 2.5h drive (one-way) and I am happy to drive all the way or half of it. Participants of this trip will share gas expenses, so please bring cash.
