Now is the time to put your lake lesson skills to the test on moving water! Whether you're looking to improve you maneuvering skills in a longer boat or want to get in to whitewater this is your chance. Badfish and Koshkong Creeks offer a scenic downriver experience right outside Madison and provide a more relaxing environment to learn moving water basics. You will also get an introduction to river safety and group management, which will serve you well on future trips. These rivers will also give you the opportunity to earn your R1 rating that you will need for class II whitewater trips farther north. Make sure to bring $5 for gas, a swimsuit, water shoes, a water bottle, and a change of clothes!
The earlier you show up to get gear ready the better, so plan to meet at 3:30PM in the boathouse if you can.
