- Description
- Oh gosh, the season is wrapping up! But there’s still time for more paddling! I'm going to be at the boathouse Thursday to help folks work on some skills. I’d like to coach the forward stroke, followed by a brisk paddle to Picnic Point and back. Then, there is a surfing drill I’d like to do. This drill is sometimes taught in the SK1 class. It’s easy to do, but not intuitive, so we’ll play with it a little bit. Most people think it’s a lot of fun and the folks at the Terrace get a kick out of it too! I would like one other instructor to join me since the surf drill works better with two people in the water pulling straps. I’ll be at the boathouse at 5:00 and get the cage unlocked. We will be on the water until about 7:00. And I could be persuaded to do a Bood run after. You’ll need weather appropriate clothing (you may get wet), a water bottle and dry clothes for after. This is open to SK1s or higher, and any sea kayak instructor. See you on the water! Jeff
