Event Information

Description
Progressing from the introductory SK0 lesson, this course is meant to build your skill and familiarity with the club sea kayaks.  This means longer paddles really focusing on an efficient forward stroke, self-rescues, and learning to manage more challenging conditions.  You will receive your SK1 rating at the completion of this lesson, which lets you go on longer, more exposed sea kayaking trips such as paddling out on the Great Lakes!
Make sure you bring a swimsuit, water shoes, a water bottle, and a change of clothes.  We will meet at the boathouse and spend the rest of the time on the lake!
