Event Information

Description
Still time this summer to learn to roll, a basic skill for both whitewater and sea kayaking.

We'll meet at the Boathouse on Saturday, Aug 30 at 2:00. To take this lesson you need to have taken the kayak lake lesson. Noseplugs are highly recommended; a diving mask also can work well both to give you visibility while upside down and avoid water up your nose. Also wear some water shoes or booties that will fit in a kayak and protect your feet.

Jeff Noltner plans to assist and will plans to bring a video camera to record your efforts and allow some video diagnosis.

We'll finish up around 4---leading into possibly an informal session of practicing other whitewater skills, including some playboating. After we're done paddling and playing around I think we're likely to hang out on the Terrace to enjoy some beverages and whatever else may be happening.
