Event Information

Description
In Mendota Lounge, 7:30 PM after regular meeting.  Will also take place after Door County Labor Day Trip report.  No need to sign up.  That's just to make the calendar happy.

The last 12 days I and 3 other Hoofers kayak camped at Isle Royale and the Keweenaw Peninsula.  Isle Royale is an island in the middle of lake Superior that is home to wolves, moose, loons and is 120 miles of rugged wilderness.  Keweenaw is the highest point of the UP and has some incredible coast line.  On this trip we camped next to a waterfall, met wolf researchers, and saw some untouched places.  We have some amazing photos and I'll do a powerpoint of the trip and share some good stories.  I will give a little bit of history of Isle Royal and Keweenaw as well.
