Mark your calendars, whitewater fall colors is coming! Whether you're new to the club or have been paddling since the club was founded, come join us at Hooferland for great company, canoeing, and kayaking. This is the last big whitewater trip of the season, so definitely plan to come!
For new members, you will need an R1 rating for this trip. This requires you take a kayak lake lesson, a swim test, and go on an introductory whitewater (class I) trip. If you have questions about these lessons, or don't have these ratings, but would like to sign up just send me an e-mail at saberger@wisc.edu. The total trip cost will be ~$60 and you need to make sure you have water shoes, warm clothes, and a warm sleeping bag.
Signing up does not guarantee you a spot on the trip. You must also fill out the planning form (I will send out the link once you sign up) and pay $40 deposit by the September 23rd Tuesday meeting. You can drop this money off in a sealed envelope at the Outdoor UW office with a note for Seth Berger or come pay at the next Tuesday meeting!
