Event Information

Description
Badfish Creek is a nearby stream with fast current and lots of twists and turns, flowing through a scenic rural area with considerable wildlife. This is a great place to refine your river reading and boat steering skills. You will need to have passed the swim test and taken the canoe lake lesson or kayak lake lesson. Kayakers should have some additional experience beyond the lake lesson (lake practice or SK0) or such, and need warm when wet clothing, We will be using the WW kayaks since the creek is too shallow and twisty for sea kayaks. Canoers need extra clothes to change into in case you  get immersed. Bring lunch and water to eat at the put-in or along the way.
